The New Jersey Community Development Association has launched this website to bring together representatives from government, the non-profit sector, faith based organizations, and business so that we may improve the quality of life for every New Jersey resident.

NJ is a true representation of the success of community and economic development initiatives but there is still more to be done. We are committed to addressing the growing challenges of neighborhood revitalization, job creation and retention, and housing affordability.

The New Jersey Community Development Association is a non-profit organization, which members represent county and municipal government community development agencies throughout the state, as well as private non-profit and for profit community development practitioners. The county and municipal agencies administer federally supported community, economic development and housing programs of the U.S. Department of Housing and urban development being the Community Development Block Grant program (CDBG), Home Investment Partnership program (HOME) and other homeless prevention programs.

The Association provides information and technical support to its members and serves as a focal point to discuss and recommend ideas for policy makers and practitioners in order to better serve their communities.
